What is CBT ?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is based on the notion that how you think , and what you do, is as important as what you think about in determining how you feel.

It is therefore centred around examining to what extent you are talking yourself into such things as Depression, or Anxiety ,without even knowing that you are doing it.

Hence by getting you to correct the 'errors' in the way you think about things it seeks to change the way you feel about things.

I know from experience of working with clients and applying these principles that they can reap great therapeutic benefits but that for many clients CBT alone is not enough.

Ultimately long-lasting change has to occur at the subconcious level and there are ways of doing this which can be usefully combined with CBT.
